Hey, everyone! I’m Faith, the blogger over at Faith's Girly Life. I’m so excited to get the chance to
share a little piece of me today! So I'm a morning person- I admit it. I know it's rare to find one
as young as me- 19 years old and in college- but I've been a morning person for as long as I can
remember. And I really wanted to talk about what I believe it means to be a morning person. So
here it goes-Being a morning person means...
You think the morning light coming through the window is beautiful.
After so many hours of darkness, some bright sunshine coming through the window in the morning will always brighten my mood! I've always been someone who's weary of darkness- so I appreciate any natural light so much!
Sometimes you get more done before 11 am than you will the entire rest of the day.
I just love the days I eat breakfast, workout, shower, finish a writing assignment, and watch an
episode of Law & Order: SVU- all before 11am! After having such a productive morning makes a
productive afternoon so much easier too.
The thought of staying up past 11 pm makes you cringe.
Who really wants to be awake after that hour when you know you'll be up at or before 7 am
the next morning- not this girl! My life has too much going on to be running on such little sleep-
that just wouldn't be healthy at all!
You love going out for breakfast or brunch.
Who wouldn't love going to get biscuits, pancakes, or waffles with some friends! (Even though I
don't go out for breakfast or brunch near as often as I'd like to!) I actually celebrated my
birthday a few months ago with Sunday brunch- check it out here.
Morning workouts feel better than night/afternoon workouts.
My #workoutcomplete just feels so much more fulfilling when it's lunch time!
So are you a morning person? Are you a night owl? Let me know in the comments and be sure
to check out more from me over at Faith's Girly Life or any of my social media-

Howdy y’all! My name is Alison and I blog over at Beauty & Blazers. Today I wanted to write about something that I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about lately - finding your talents.
I have never considered myself a creative person. I didn’t think I was good at any form of art or music and didn’t really have any talents other than the ability to binge watch an obscene amount of Grey’s Anatomy. However, at this point in my life I find I am invested in so many creative activities that my whole life basically revolves around them. I have a dadgum lot of talents.
Now, I don’t say that to brag on how many things I can do - it’s important to recognize that you are good at things and I think a lot of people ignore that to avoid sounding self-centered. The issue is, when you avoid praising yourself for your talents, you end up actually believing that you don’t have any, or miss out on opportunities to find out what you are good at.
In the span of around a year/ a year and a half, I went from believing I wasn’t talented at anything to being the owner of a blog and photography business, editor and designer of a yearbook publication, pianist, calligrapher, and (learning) watercolorist. I didn’t believe I had any creative talents - now I know that my personality is comprised of them.
A big part of my “journey” (for lack of a better word) to understanding my talents was when I joined Social Studies UIL. I’ve known my whole life that I wanted to be a teacher, but I always assumed I would go for younger kids or teach a reading/language arts class. After I took a World History class in 6th grade, I realized that I actually really enjoyed history so in 7th grade I decided to join the UIL team. I attended every practice and studied all the time on my own. When test day came around I ended up getting first place out of the whole district in a subject I didn’t even know I loved. That year was when I decided I wanted to be a historian. Three years later, I spend an (embarrassingly) large chunk of my time retweeting the Bill of Rights Institute and reading historical texts.
In terms of my creative skills mentioned above, it was a very similar process. I had a lowkey interest in each of them, tried them out, and found out that not only did I love them but was actually pretty good at them.
What I want y’all to take from this post is that it is as simple as trying something new to find what you want to spend the rest of your life doing. If you don’t get it the first time, try something else! I also want more people to understand that it is perfectly okay to consider yourself talented and praise yourself for those skills - just make sure you encourage others in their talents as well.
“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that I am full well.” Psalm 139:14
Have a great day!

It’s graduation season and that means it's time to start looking for a gift for the special person in your life. Whether it's your best friend, mentor, or your daughter, they all require the perfect gift for the right price. While it is easy to just write and send a check, it is much more meaningful to give the graduate something that is personal. I am graduating this year, and so I have compiled a list of things I would be so excited to receive from my friends and family.
From left to right, top to bottom
Inspirational Print: I think a print with a fun quote is the perfect gift to congratulate them for graduating as well as encourage them in their future endeavors. They can put it in their room or even in their dorm room if they go off to college and think of you every time they see it.
Weekender Bag: This is a perfect gift for a parent or grandparent to give because it is a little more expensive. A good travel bag is great for spontaneous weekend trips with friends but also trips home from college. This bag is classic and something that the graduate will be able to have for many years.
Monogram Stationery: Stationery is always a go to for me because I think it is classic and something that people can always use. Especially as someone goes away to college or moves out on their own, they can always use some cute notecards to write to the people they love.
Daily Planner: I know not everyone is a planner lover, but if you know someone in your life that is very organized and loves to plan; a planner is a great gift. It’s a great way for them to start planning their new life after graduation. And perfect timing, the new Day Designer planners were just released TODAY!
Alex and Ani Bangle: I think one of these bangles is the perfect gift whether it is the graduation one specifically or another one that means something to the grad. It is a personal and thoughtful gift that they will have for a long time.
Best Friend Print: This is the perfect gift for your best friend if you guys are going to college in different states. It’s a super cute gift that your friends can put in their dorm and always remember you and your great friendship every time they see it!
Makeup Bag: A makeup bag is another just simple easy go to gift. I promise you girls never have enough of them. This one has a monogram which makes it personal and fun. Plus, if you want to add a little something extra you could put a gift card or a perfume roller ball inside!
Classic Tote: I think every girl needs a classic tote before going off to college, whether for late night studying in the library, toting around stuff for a sorority event, or for traveling. This one is super cute, and you can also personalize it with a monogram. This tote is classic and perfect for people of all styles.
What’s your go to graduation gift?

Hey there everyone, I’m Jada from The Classy Redhead at theclassyredhead.wordpress.com! You can also find me on Instagram at @theclassyredhead.
So for today’s post I spent a lot of time thinking about what my post should be about, and what would draw the most attention to my blog. In doing this, I reread all of my posts, looked to see which topics had the most views. I also spent time seeing what other bloggers were up to. In the midst of all this research, it hit me. Why should I spend all of this time seeing what others are doing if it is just going to cause me to blend in?
One thing that I have learned about blogging is that everyone seems to be doing the same things. Everyone has the same outfits, picture themes, and blogging topics. If the goal is to get more views and likes, shouldn’t we be trying to stand out, be different?
When I come up with the ideas behind my posts, my main goal for my post is to be a reflection of me. I don’t want my work to blend into the millions of other fashion and lifestyle blogs. We are all called to be us, an individual created uniquely in Christ. Jeremiah 1:5 says, “I knew you before I formed you in your Mother’s womb, before you were born, I set you apart.” Right here in plain writing it says that we are all set apart, so why do we spend so much time trying to blend in?
When it comes to blogging, or even just my actions, if I impact someone in some way, then my job is done. Impacting just that one person gives me more satisfaction than any like or amount of views could give me. Why? Because who I am and who God created me to be changed someone. Isn’t that an amazing thought? Having the power and ability to impact someone through a blog post or a simple smile shows how easy it is to be you. I know this because Psalm 139:14 says, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know full well.”
So next time you are struggling with an idea for a blog topic, outfit choice, or just getting through your day, remember God created you just the way that you are without flaw. He calls upon us and tells us this in yet again in Romans 12:2:
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing, and perfect will.”
But in the great words of whoever said it, “Be a flamingo in a flock of pigeons.”
With that said, I hope you too can go through your day with the comfort of God’s word that you are uniquely you, and it shouldn’t be any other way. I however am extremely thankful and grateful that God has blessed me with this opportunity to impact others in the ways that I am. I also hope you too can find some way that you can have that ability.

In this latest wave of technology, Snapchat has made its presence known as yet another social media outlet for bloggers to extend beyond their websites. Even as the app's popularity has risen, many bloggers are still hesitant to use it. I definitely was; however, I'm thankful that I decided to take the plunge and venture into the world of Snap-blogging. This is one of those things that's much more straightforward than it looks.
So, how does a blogger go about using Snapchat? Here are some of the ways that you can make the most out of the app:
1. Blog Post Updates: Using Snapchat is wonderful because the ability to share pictures with readers becomes so much easier on the app. Snapping photos of your newest blog posts can really increase traffic--and best of all, it only takes about two seconds to share!
2. Self-Promotion: The self-promoting of your blog and other social medias through Snapchat is also incredibly easy. However, it's best to do this in moderation. The people who've added you do not want to be spammed with every link to every social media you have, within the span of five minutes.
3. Speaking Through Videos: For the most part, the only way you can interact with your readers is through a computer screen and keyboard. With Snapchat, on the other hand, they can literally hear you speak to them, and that makes you much more approachable. That also makes you (and your blog) more likely to leave a lasting impression on them.
4. Interacting With Followers: Since Snapchat isn't a very formal app, the people who follow you will feel more at ease with sending over a quick little message, as opposed to having to send you a direct message or email (just from a blogger to blogger standpoint, those options can seem a bit daunting). I really appreciate being able to have ordinary conversations with other bloggers and my readers; besides, it's a blast!
5. Informal Snaps: One downside to image-oriented apps like Instagram is the ever-present need to capture the perfect picture. From staging to lighting, everything has to be perfect for one photo. As you might have inferred from the name, Snapchat is for doing the exact opposite. Want to take a picture of your food or your dog or anything within the vicinity? With this app, you can forget about the staging and editing, and focus on the sharing.
Do any other bloggers out there love using Snapchat?

It's Isabel from Tables and Closets. As you probably know, on Monday there was the Met Gala. This is debatably the biggest fashion event of the year, so I thought it would only be fitting for me to go through and pick out my favorite dresses to share.
Without further ado, here are my top 5 Met Gala 2016 looks!

I have no words for Naomi Watts' dress. It fit in with the technology theme, which still staying classy and sophisticated. I love the flower details, I feel like they really make the dress more fun. Also, all the bling she accessorized with really ties the look together.
Blake Lively is such a perfect human being. This dress compliments her so nicely, from the color to the cut. I like the touch of the cape, somehow it doesn't come off as superhero-ey, but more majestic. Her earrings also make her look longer which is good being her dress is pretty long as well. And can we all take a moment to appreciate the fact that she is pregnant?
Queen B does it again. She totally rocks this fitted dress that probably no one else could pull off. Also, the intricate detailing with the pearls and floral stitching are really eye catching on an otherwise plain dress.
Lupita Nyong'o is gorgeous, and this dress emphasizes her beauty. The green shimmer really does make her look majestic and her simple makeup let's us pay attention to her hair, which really is something. At first I wasn't sure about it but after seeing it a couple times I've come to the conclusion that it was the perfect style for her look.
Claire Danes stole the show. Her Cinderella-esque dress literally took my breath away. The icy blue compliments her nicely, and the fact that the dress glows tops it all off... I mean honestly, a glow in the dark dress?! That's amazing.
Thanks for reading y'all! I had a lot of fun putting this post together. Don't forget to check out my personal blog ( tablesandclosets.blogspot.com ) and my blog Insta ( @tablesandclosets ). Have a fabulous day!
